Thinking about what I wanted to initially share with you on my lovely new website, a few thoughts came to me; Firstly, I want to give you a little insight into who I am. Secondly, what drives me to do what I do, and what I do to help people with the journey that they are on.
That’s the thing for me, life is a journey and there is no right or wrong way to do it, live it, or just “to be” – there is only your way. If we all remember to follow a few golden rules, I believe life, no matter what greater power you believe in (your guardians, guides, or your God), will always be there for you. I believe each and every soul on this earth is being watched over and guided, and I am here to help you to listen and to trust what your gut and your heart is telling you.
I am the eldest of four, born into a hardworking farming family. My mother was of strong Anglican faith. My father on the other hand, while not a religious man, was ever-curious about religion and evolution, and he always encouraged his children to explore different realms of faith. Interestingly enough, everyone in our family has their own ability, or “gift” if you will, and sense of spirituality, which both my parents always embraced with open mindedness, acceptance, and love.
It never occurred to me that I was different to anyone else until I was in my late twenties, when circumstances in life brought about huge changes. I believed everything I saw and heard was how it was for everyone. Then in my early thirties I went through a surgical procedure completely conscious and in great pain, I left my body and was looking down on myself watching everything taking place as though it was a movie! I was surrounded by light and felt no fear. I can recall the moment I re-entered my body and everyone was talking to me and I suddenly saw them all in a way I had never seen people before. While I knew I had ‘sight’ before this experience, afterward, nothing was ever to be the same again because I couldn’t be untruthful.
I had always visited psychics, clairvoyants, and readers. Some were amazing, others not so, but most did what they did with the best of intentions. I went because I was trying to figure out who and what I was. A few years down the track I started doing different courses – learning about numerology, studying the Tarot, psychometry, obtaining a formal counselling qualification, anything and everything that related to increasing my understanding and helping me come to grips with who I was. Then, almost by accident or good fortune, I had a lady move in next door who I gave several readings to, she was undergoing big changes in her life and was trying to find her way. One day she came to me and asked if I would spend a day at her house doing readings for her friends and family. I sat at a little table and one after the other they came in the door. When I next caught up with my neighbour for coffee, she and her sister presented me with a gift, it was a beautiful wooden box with a sun on the top, she said “We want you to have this to put your tarot cards in because we believe this is what you should be doing with your life”.
Over time, my work has evolved and grown, and it never stands still. I have an incredible range of clients, both old and new, who come to see me, daily weekly, monthly, yearly – it never ends. I’ve come to realise that is part of the evolution of the soul – growing and evolving is what we are all here for. I believe I am here to be of service, and that service is to empower people, enable them to deal with life’s challenges, help them through their grief and to ultimately celebrate with them and cheer them on in their success.
On occasion, there are clients who challenge me, question how I know or tell me that I haven’t got it right. I’m only human, and I am sure I don’t get it right every time. I feel a huge responsibility to the people that put their faith in me, and I can only give what I’m given and there is no way of knowing at the time whether I’ve ‘got it right’ or not. I am only the messenger, the delivery person, I do what I do out of love and good intention and trust.
What excites me about my work is being able to share people’s journeys and stories of their lives, to see them grow in confidence and to watch the amazement and thrill they experience when they trust and listen to themselves and they learn to expand their lives and be more true to themselves, thereby living in a more harmonious and happy way without stress and conflict. Helping them to understand their soul’s journey. Each of us is here for a reason, a purpose; sometimes it is shown clearly and other times it takes a little longer.
I am a mother to a beautiful girl, now an adult, and I am privileged to share in her life and her journey. Together we share a wonderful passion for our animals and particularly for our horses. She is on her own journey to be the best she can be and it thrills me enormously to know that through my past experiences and the connection I have, that I have taught, supported and enabled her to start out her life consciously aware of her own inner voice and wisdom, and to listen.
I love being able to share the light in my life with others around me. I don’t have all the answers, and if I did, I believe I wouldn’t be here. I do believe that I have the power to help others, and that is a beautiful gift to share.
